Choosing what to wear to your bar mitzvah can be a daunting task! You want to look good, please the parents, but most importantly, you want to be comfortable enough to jump around with your friends. Traditionally, a suit, tie, and dress shoes were a strict requirement for the reception. However, current fashion trends here in the New York/New Jersey area are more casual with even Dads wearing Jordans with their suits. Some of my boys have worn a simple polo or a dress shirt with the sleeves rolled up. As a photographer, though, I prefer my boys to be a bit dressed up for the photo portion of the day. This means at least a suit jacket. (You can always ditch the jacket after photos).  Check out these cool dudes!
